Under the spell of the old Carpathian molfar, the twins Ostap and Darinka fall into the past. In order to return, they need to free Ivan the oprushka and his beloved Marisya, the daughter of the governor of Zolochiv castle, from the captivity of the black sorcerer's spell. And in order to overcome his charms, the children will have to overcome a long and difficult path through impassable thickets of Carpathian forests, dark dungeons of Lviv churches and impregnable walls of castles guarded by ancient spirits and ghosts. And so they still have to overcome the terrible witch queen Bona in order to save their younger sister Olena...
